Platinum Prints

A platinum print will exhibit the longest tonal range of any traditional printmaking technique: from the most delicate and subtle gradation of the highlights, to the warmtoned, detailed richness of the shadows and midtones.  Platinum is more stable and valuable than gold, and an image printed with the noble metal should last longer than the very paper which supports it.

I am the only children’s portrait photographer in the country, and one of but a few worldwide, making handmade prints with the rare and beautiful platinum process. Prints made with platinum, as opposed to ink, have a durability which is unmatched. Possessing a delicacy, luminance and subtlety that is sought after by curators and collectors of fine art photography alike; your photographs will not only become important family heirlooms, but exist as objects of individual beauty and presence. Embellished behind museum glass, in hand finished solid wood and water-gilded, gold and silver leaf frames, the results from our portrait session together will be truly stunning and completely bespoke.
